Someone I was close friends with since high school, over 20 years, but I dropped when corona first broke due to him going super deep into Qanon territory (he was always into the conspiracy theories, but I always thought more in a "but, maybe..." kinda way, not an "I actually believe this and live my life by this".... I learned through a mutual FB friend that him, his wife, and 2 young children (3 and an infant) went to the rally and posted on FB. About how he believes it was a rigged election but doesn't condone violence ("bu, bu, BLM") and how he said the Capitol break in was instigated by BLM/Antifa.

So glad I dropped him.

My roommate yesterday had a Zoom call with a friend. And this friend told him something to the effect of "hey a person I knew from church is at the rally and actually speaking. Should I report him?" My roommate popped out of his room after the call with a look of bewilderment and wtf-ness. Not sure what the outcome was, but I guess if this was a dude being broadcasted, they wouldn't have to do anything anyways as I guess if authorities do want to get him that will be fairly easy.
