best part of a a decade ago i went to a intimate comedy night in east london where a bunch of stand ups go through their tour material. tim key headlined and for my money is still one of the best stand ups going. it was a really sympathetic crowd where even the weird avante garde anti comedy mime got a few sympathy laughs.

anyway halfway down the bill was this fella no-one heard of called nish kumar who somehow conjured enough antipathy in the room to crater. had this whole bit about "what is right wing comedy anyway" and even in front of the very sort of shoreditch liberal bourgeoisie this bit was made for, the groans grew to a point where he was just basically arguing with the crowd.

Got nothing against the dude but I absolutely agree with you. If anything, The Office kinda weirded me out because it was genuinely ground-breaking comedy. I always think he did best as the hype-man in the 'Gervais / Merchant / Pilkington' trio, and his solo stuff is only really prominent because of his name, not his material.

Still, he's found his niche and boy howdy is he making the most of it. Given that he's a stand-up comic, and not the CEO of Raytheon, I'll just leave him to it.

I expected PSN in general to get better over the years, not worse. I don’t give a fuck about the game streaming part of the new subscription service because PS Now was not even a option in my country, so there is little incentive to me to “upgrade” subscriptions if the retro stuff is shitting the bed.
