stoller’s reading of the history of american political thought isn’t even that off, he just makes the jump to full brainworms by confusing the (true and, imo, important) descriptive claim that america’s internal political dialogue has been more about democracy vs monopoly than about socialism vs capitalism for the prescriptive claim that theres no worthwhile discussion to be had about the nature of property.
