It is weird, but I love weird X-men.

The whole Dissasembled story was bad, but so far the stuff it lead to has been really good.

I read the Tv Tropes on the Watchmen sequel/crossover thing and it sounds....really fucking dumb and confusing. I got to it from reading about the multi-multiverse, which is even dumber and more confusing. Each universe has 52 worlds, and there are infinite universes, but sometimes the 52 have their own little bubble universes or some shit? I thought DC had multiple crisis events to get rid of all these universes. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY UNIVERSES?

It's the same problem Marvel has.  Create all these different worlds/universes, everything gets too convoluted/complex/confusing, they do a big storyline where all this shit is erased and/or combined into one, and then it starts over again.   :lol ::)

Smallville the TV Show has 8 different worlds. Arrowverse has 25.

Will say this, at least- Arrowverse shows make it pretty easy to follow all the different earth stuff, since they gradually introduced this concept and it generally doesn't dominate everything.  You have one cast member on Flash who gets to play different versions of himself every season (Wells), and then apart from that every now and then some villain or hero from another earth will pop up for an episode or two.  It's also how they bring back certain characters who have gotten killed off.  That said, I think there's been like five different versions of Laurel/Black Canary/Black Siren in Arrow, and it's kind of annoying.

The big problem with the multiple worlds is when they invade main continuity.

Like, I sort of like the Batman who laughs storyline going on... but it doesn’t really make that much sense.
Metal didn’t really make sense either.

It’s the joker impostor that gets killed I’m Arkham, the Joker who shoots hinder in the chest, and Batman after getting infected with the joker toxin.

Or something. Who knows.

Three Jokers doesn't have a release date yet. Doomsday Clock isn't over with yet, it was supposed to end in December but now it's tentatively scheduled to end in July though there are no dates for the remaining issues.

I literally have no idea what Geoff Johns even does anymore after he got canned from the films.

So dat boi Hickman is coming back to Marvel to write X-men.

I’m one of the few people that thought Hickman’s Avengers run was overly confusing and sort of overrated, but I’m still curious what he’s going to come up with as Marvels writing has been really bad the last few years apart from a few books.

Edit: also been reading a lot of Geoff Johns lately. His old flash stuff is great! I’m a bit confused with Doomsday Clock though. The wait between issues might be the problem. I’ll need to start all over once it’s done.

Interested to see what he does with the X-Men.  The teaser image is a head-scratcher:

Among other things, we get what appears to be a Nightcrawler/Gambit fusion on the left and a Magik/Colossus fusion on the right.  Jean Grey on the left...Phoenix on the right.  Weapon X on the left...Wolverine on the right.  Child Storm on the left...mohawk Storm on the right.

Long haired blink tho.

edit: I guess Hickman is only doing two 6 issue miniseries.

I figured that the picture was actually some kind of retrospective of all X-men history or something and not necessarily a list of the characters in the series.

Also looks like some kind of Magic + Collossus Amalgam in the front on the right too.

I’m at a con right now and met Nick Spencer.

He tried to cover his true feelings on Dan slott by saying he’s a good guy, but I got him to admit that Dan Slott is just a loser who went through a bad divorce and is now anti-marriage. Also, he thinks that redheads have a weird must smell.

Anyway, Spider-Man and MJ are getting married again.

Also, met Mark Bagley but didn’t have anything for him to sign so went and bought something then had him sign it.... despite having much better things for him to sign at home.... so I now have a signed second edition of the second appearance of Carnage.

Interesting thing about Mark, if you want him to just sign he’ll charge you a tenet but if you want it personalized he’ll do it for free. I of course gave him my real name instead of my fur name or bore name.... like a dumbass.

Weird thing about Comic cons these days. Big titty Cosplay chicks have lines like 10X as long as legit comic creators who have drawn big name books and have a lot of history in the industry.

Like Mark Bagley just was sitting there with no line. But Jessica, a cosplayer with enormous fake tits has like a 30 minute wait.

Morrison’s X-men is one of my favorite things ever. Read it as young teen and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Few times have cape comics ever felt as cool as that. I think it holds up despite some wonky story mechanics.

Didn’t get into his Batman as much.

Jessica Nigri?  I mean, she'd be way the hell more popular than some comic artist, because cosplayers like her are all over social media, plus TITS.  People need to queue up to get a photo and drool, then go back home, get on REEEE, and say how gross half-naked wimmenz are.  :doge

Yeah it was Jessica Nigiri.

There were several others that had decently long lines. Like Christina Dark, and alkali Katie.

Enough that said to me “if you got huge tits and don’t got it in you to be an Instagram thot or do porn, consider cosplay”.

Jessica Nigiri’s boob job is insane. There was also some chick that did a powegirl cosplay that I’ve seem pics before that also had an equally enormous boob job.

I don’t really have any problem with titties or anything, but people seem to have convinced themselves it wholesome because they dress up like comic characters when it’s just soft core porn.

Edit: also weird to me now how comic culture is no longer about comics. Like I was talking to some people and it’s clear they know the characters and the movies but have never read any of the comics and don’t know anything about them.

This doesn’t necessarily surprise me, I just find it odd because that’s not how Cons we’re in the 90s.

Edit2: also saw a chick in a red and black schoolgirl thing, and my first thought was “oh, that’s a bible black cosplay!” Which means I’ve been to too many dark places on the internet.

I have respect for Jessica Nigiri, her hustle has been pretty amazing all things considered. It's been a decade! And apparently she's not insane like everyone else in that "industry" eventually turns out to be after six months or less. And without having to do real porn either!

Don't even have any nerd sperging about her being a real fan or not because that hustle game has been so good it's like who cares.

I really wasn’t aware of Jessica Nigri.

But after doing some important background research into the culture of cosplay women on Instagram, I realized that most of these chicks hustle a lot. A lot seem to be doing a con almost every weekend. Talking to a bunch of dorks about their favorite team dragon ball character for 8 hours 3 days a week probably fucking sucks, honestly.

I do wonder how many actually make their own costumes. My guess is not that many, and that most of them are just the pretty face in the costume.

They are also basically just smarter Instagram thots though, they just found a better angle to work. Many of them seem to sprinkle in you basic boudoir photos with their cosplay stuff.

My wife has a friend that dresses up for cons that is pretty hot. My wife thinks they look like sisters so I can ogle her pics and say “she really do look like you though”. My wife is technically probably prettier, but she also don’t dress up like a slutty Wednesday Adams.

I saw a dude rudely correcting his girlfriend about Bippidi boppidid boo on dragon ball while waiting in line to take a pic with Kevin Eastman and considered murder.

He was cosplaying as fat Val Kilmer cosplaying as Casey Jones and she was cosplaying as Kirstie Alley cosplaying as April O’neill.

Been catching up on some Marvel Unlimited.

This Infinity Wars event is dumb. Marvel really loves their crossovers to be effectively What If?! Stories.

Secret Empire was better, even, IMo.

Also, for some reason I read 7 issues of Weapon H. This character should be memory holed.

Haven't said anything about Savage Dragon lately because nothing worth noting (I.E. crazy shit) has really happened.  But cut to the end of the previous issue and a giant worm-thing attacks the Dragon family apartment!  In the current issue, the worm-thing is taken out after it eats the youngest baby Dragon and she makes it kind of explode with her electric power.  We then find out that this isn't a worm at all- it's the severed penis of the big demon that raped Maxine a few issues back, out for revenge.

I have a lot of catching up to do, but skipped ahead to check out Uncanny X-Men #16 this week- Uncanny has shifted the team to the Cyclops/Wolverine-led line-up of mutants who aren't involved in the "Age Of X" storyline that's going on in various mini-series.

Dunno what led to what, but this X-team is attacked by the Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants, led by Magneto.  Makes no sense, because Magneto is currently in the Age Of X world.  But hey!

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Someone remembered that Magneto clone, Joseph, still exists!  The X-Men find out it's really him, and before they can do anything, he gets beheaded by Kwannon, who "woke up" in her own body after Psylocke got her original body back like...a year ago already?

That's a pretty cool "return."  Like the costume, too- like a hybrid of the mid and late 80s outfits together.

She died from cancer (the Thor transformations took a toll on her immune system; it was presented that she might have recovered but every time she Thor'd up it fucked up all the treatment) after deciding to go THOR to fight some big bad that nobody else could take down.  IIRC the last thing we saw of her is her being led to Valhalla.

And now Jane Foster is Queen Of Asgard.  :lol ???

Anyway, this looks amazing:

https://screenrant.com/dc-marvel-justice-league-killers-comic/

Quote
When the Avengers just aren't enough to protect Earth, it's time to call in Marvel's own version of the Justice League. But the new Squadron Supreme couldn't look more like an exact copy of DC's greatest heroes if they tried. The only difference? This new team is made up of trained killers that make Batman v Superman look like a day at the park.

Since the team made a surprise appearance as a team handpicked and assembled by Agent Phil Coulson himself in Avengers #700, they have kept their presence in the Marvel Universe quiet. Now that their secrets are out, they are too: leaping into action as "D.C.'s greatest heroes!" Defenders of America's capital, hence the name. But the comparisons to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the League go far deeper than a simple joker. The new Squadron Supreme of America is a dark, bloody, and sinister creation of Agent Coulson's. And their idea of handling an invasion... is turning the invaders into a pile of blood and bones. We can't imagine DC is going to like this one.

They could have just left Coulson dead.

Like he’s really not that important. I thought all of the squadron supreme was dead or something too.

Edit: I just remembered they killed major and then brought him back to life or something.

Pretty sure most of them make their own costumes.  There was (still is?) even a reality show about it on one of the cable channels, complete with manufactured drama.  Really made that Yaya Han chick (Asian cosplayer with huge fake tits) look like a real bitch.  :doge

Nah, a lot of the sluttier ones don't make their own costumes. But respect to the girls who do.

Jessica Nigri’s titties are big as hell. She probably hasn’t worn a piece of clothing off a rack in 10 years.

Fangirls are mad that there's a comic where an unstable Vader fangirl is treated as unstable. Because I guess implying the downsides of pop culture fanaticism is... bad?

::) Straight up admitting the story itself is fine.

Complain about the news cycle then? :confused

Can Trump make it illegal to include (and especially start) a tweet with some form of "*sigh*"

Is there a trope page for this shit yet, cause it was annoyingly un-cute like a decade ago and it's still here.
