It's amusing how Ukraine is also beating Russia in the cyber war. All the Russian bots sound like whiny bitches complaining about how palestine is ignored and you are not allowed to film POW's because of the Gevena conventions.

Stalker 2 devs also called on gamers to rise up.
Russia has 14 million steam users.
Ban them and the Kremlin is ours.

According to Dutch writer Pieter Waterdrinker who just left St. Petersburg there is talk of martial law being announced soon in Russia to crush the anti-war movement.

I guess arresting kids wasn't enough then.

You have to wonder why Putin gave up a winning hand. In the most likely scenario Ukraine would've been stuck in the EU decision making process forever like Turkey. Most countries were already slashing foreign aid and the EU didn't lift a finger to resolve the Crimea or Donbass situation. The stalemate would've gone his way eventually in more polarized elections.

A 'missing' Romanian Mig and the rescue helicopter that went to investigate might've just been shot down.

Both the plane and chopper have been found, no survivors.
Cause of crash yet unknown.

Why couldnt the world have unified this way when Bush launched his illegal invasion of another country? Curious.
The first Bush and the first invasion of Iraq to "restore the rightful monarchy of Kuwait" after we told them we wouldn't interfere in Middle East politics because the maps are really just artifacts of British imperialism?

Or the second Bush, and the second invasion of Iraq, where we feigned belief in their ability to produce nuclear weapons AND get those weapons to the USA?

Yeah, either way, that's definitely a question we need to ask. Even so, neither of those wars were enacted on as flimsy a premise as Putin's Big Adventure, and the USA did not threaten to nuke the rest of the world when concerns and protests were levied against it. So, however, shaky this high ground is, the USA is arguably still standing on it.

Only 41% of Swedes support NATO membership, and that's with peak russki aggression. The numbers will go down whenever the US decides to bomb something again.  :trumps

I think a membership is more likely today compared to a month ago, but "planning to apply for membership" sounds like something someone just made up, probably for twitter clout.

I think so as well, plenty of non-NATO states to bomb and plenty of zealots to follow Putin on his doomsday path.

NATO has made it clear it won't send troops outside NATO so that puts Moldova, Georgia, Finland and Sweden at risk. They could just bomb some military, infrastructure and communications targets in all those countries.

The James foundation has come to a different conclusion.

Russia can still trade with China, India, Pakistan, all of Africa etc. Thats literally 4 billion people.

They dont need currency, they have oil. Oil that is worth more and more every day. Even if they have to sell it at a 20% discount, thats still 80 a barrel.

Do you think China gives a shit about Ukraine? They love oil and will take all they can get. Same with India.

It wont take long before an official russian oil laundering line is put in place.

Yeah, things will suck on the consumer side (ie no iPhones) but guess what, China has a ton of Android phone companies.

The planes? There will be disruption but guess what, Russia has 3 of their own plane companies.

The whole little soviet union thing which meant absolutely everything they needed was built in house prepared them for this.

As long as China is open for business, and they will continue to be because they want Taiwan, Russia will be fine.

Now, if the US got sanctioned by China? THAT would be pandemonium. Aside from food, everything we buy is from China. We would nuke ourselves.
:O
