Dude, she lost to an idiot career con artist even with the entire machine of an whole political party behind her. That's both a huge indication of how poorly received her brand of politics are, and a huge negative on her resume. The bullshit about the emails hurt for sure, but if you think the take away is "don't get railroaded" instead of "run a candidate with a semblance of a message" I don't really know what to say.
And of course the reaction would have been different if it were Obama, since he didn't have two plus decades behind the wheel of some of the highest positions of power in the country, had something to say, and was effortlessly charming. You seriously can't see the difference between what the two represent?
I have no real idea if her disappearing would harm or help the left at this point. She's great at fundraising, and I am interested in hearing her insights into how all of this happened.
But I can completely understand why people want her to just go the fuck away. She's synonymous with status quo politics, and that is decreasingly resonant in an increasingly unsettled political climate. Oh, and she somehow, against all odds, lost to Donald fucking Trump. You're seriously baffled why people aren't lining up to welcome her back from the woods?
