I hear this a lot but we had twenty candidates, and let me ask, who in the Democratic Party right now actually would've been a better candidate? And which past Democratic candidates would have been better candidates today?

If they win they're political geniuses who planned it out from the start, if they lose it's because of some personal failing instead of actual material conditions. Similar dynamic to how the President is always held responsible for the state of the economy.

I just endorsed Bernie by voting for him, I’m probably going to be bitching about him a lot more now that I’ve put my name on him. I’ll also say when I think he does well! Omg! I only wake up for debates tho

:lol  I think it's called "notable losers"

Ugh, anyway, I voted Bern, and his responses the past week on paying for shit have reminded me why I was anti-Bernie in 2016: he’s an idiot that has no plan and no clue what he’s doing. It’s not that I care about the specifics on how shit is financed, but I’d at least like a candidate that appears to have thought of his biggest policy proposals for more than an hour or two. I kind of feel like a dope for voting for him, but what were the alternatives? :klob The Democrats really fucked up with this lineup.

I think it's stupid as fuck to do a thorough policy body of work like Hillary did while campaigning.  It's a waste of time. Like who ISN'T gonna jump at the chance to figure out how to get money for the Green New Deal when nomination starts?

Aside from that that stuff gets tweaked working through the sausage factory.

As soon as they announce billions of subsidies for oil companies to develop green tech, Shell is gonna load up all that data from the 80's they were hiding.

I’m not really looking for a thorough policy, I’m looking for a clue at all. He seems to get flustered when he’s asked about basic details. He blew this on 60 Minutes where he had time to prepare a safe answer that didn’t even have to say anything meaningful. To me, I guess the red flag is that he seems very reactive and unprepared for things I’d expect him to be more prepared for. He’s had a lot of time to perfect answers to this shit, he’s running on the same promises as 2016 and he was asked some of this stuff then, too.

I hear this a lot but we had twenty candidates, and let me ask, who in the Democratic Party right now actually would've been a better candidate? And which past Democratic candidates would have been better candidates today?

That’s the ish, the party’s pretty terrible in general. It needs to be burned down.

Because the real answer is that he's gonna challenge all the people in congress, and he can't do that before nomination.  He's hinted at using his bernie bros to remove democrats from office who won't support his plans.

If you hold both house and senate you don't need to get into the weeds with what you can give up and what you can't.

It's like deciding on what you want to eat, and you don't know where you're going yet. Fuck your mcchicken, cause we dining on impossible meat.

Gotta admit, right now I'm worried that Biden is going to kill it in South Carolina and then be resurgent.

I guess if somebody has to be a threat I'd prefer it to be Biden since he's less offensive to me than all of the not-Warren's and unlike Warren he might actually win in the general.  But the fact that I can say that makes him seem all the more threatening.

Biden has to get 60% roughly to leapfrog Bernie, and then bernie has to get 0.

That's a tall ask.

I don't think his goal is to overtake the leader in total number of delegates obtained so far, just to win the state. Expecting to take the lead is insanity.

He’s released how he plans to pay for all this stuff months ago and it’s the number one link on the issues part of his website.

It’s basically “raise taxes” in various ways with the explanation that the average person will have their taxes raised far less than the amount they currently pay in healthcare premiums. But there is a complete list of tax raises and how much he thinks they will raise and how much he thinks he needs.

Edit: over the years I also just don’t really pay attention to the details because it’s all fapping material for dorks that read the economist. All that shit basically goes out the window day 1 and they start from scratch.
