It's great they are being transparent on the surface but I can't help wonder if they knew all along they had to tease this game earlier on purpose. The timing is also questionable waiting until after the busy holiday sales to tell everyone it's not going as planned.

In the end the game is likely to be great and starting over will seem like a genius move but these large gaps with big titles seem all too common and I doubt its ever going to change. If Nintendo ever gets back in the hardware race then it's all moot.
