I'd say the longer the game, the longer the grace period. So if we're talking a 6-8 hour long game, like Resident Evil 7 or REmake 2, then the statute of spoilertations would be lifted around 2 years after release. If the game in question is a 60-80 hour long game, like Final Fantasy XV or Kingdom Hearts III, then giving folks 4-5 years would be more reasonable.

Being perfectly honest, is also weird that the MAGA crowd is calling this a hoax. Even Trump say “that is terrible” and move on. Feels that if there was an attack or not it would be probably better to wait until the police give their results than play detective.
