For all the strum und drang, over 80% of Americans have gotten at least one shot. OSHA's mandate hasn't come into effect yet. Vaccine resistance at businesses that have established their own mandates has been practically non-existent. New York and California's elites may be trapped in COVID hysteria with the media but most other Democrat-led states are completely disinterested in going back to failed 2020 policies. For all the hype of DeSantis as either some kind of unique evil or savior, Florida has been doing fine comparatively to New York the entire time despite having a larger and older population. While coy about it, the Biden Administration has not shown much interest in the outdated 2020 policies either.
We shouldn't confuse mandates for people to get the vaccine with safety theater like NYC is predominantly interested in or things like forcing kids to sit on buckets six feet away from each other in the cold wearing masks and being unable to talk to each other. Or media members and media doctors who peddle the idea that not wearing masks indoors among vaccinated people will kill everyone involved. (While then going to take all kinds of pictures at Christmas parties where nobody wears a mask.) Or universities that shut down due to one case of COVID and plan to be virtual-only into February despite the entire population being vaccinated.
Lying is one thing, it's bad enough. But perhaps worse is when so-called "experts" and their allies refuse to admit they don't actually know anything and instead promote hysteria and policy based on a fear of not appearing tough enough. That's how you get the security theater.
If any of these people have evidence that the miracle vaccines don't work and are useless, they are being derelict in not sharing that information directly and publicly, especially while they act in private completely counter to the idea.
