You're not doing anyone any good by talking about the stuff you're supposed to not be watching.

I wouldn't mind a Lost Odyssey sequel so long as they got rid of Uchi-guchi as writer. Seriously, LO's plot was so unbelievably predictable and generic. Ask the guy who wrote the short stories to compose the main plot.

Also, make sure the kids are grown if they have to be in it.

I mean, I get that Final Fantasy players don't want multiplayer, but think about it; Chocobo VS Chocobo in a bigass arena each with different stats and abilities. That shit would be awesome.
I think the problem is that all the Mistwalker X360 games (well uh, the 2 of them) were two teams first projects. So they had a lot of good in them but they weren't perfect and didn't make everyone happy. In an ideal world, the sales would have been ok, MS would have financed sequels and the two teams would have come out with new rpgs based on their experience with the X360 and feedback from gamers/reviews. They would have been more "grown-up" products. But unfortunately even though LO sold pretty decent and BD was the best selling game in Japan, MS didn't finance sequels and the teams went on to DS/Wii and N3-2
LO is not amazing, it's generic pap. A sequel could be amazing if they actually, y'know, fixed its numerous problems.Using the PD Scale-o-Meter, LO would rank like a 6.5322 out of 10.
It's certainly no Mass Effect. Mass Effect shits all over Lost Odyssey.
I don't have time to justify myself to your viewers. I have a galaxy to catch, excuse me.
Quote from: Bebpo on March 06, 2010, 05:21:50 PMPeople are making too big of deal about this game because they took too damn long to bring it out (even though they made it in < 2 years. The game took around 6 years to make with multiple iterations and across two generations of systems. They were also using the time to fine tune their Crystal Tools set for easy next-generation development (lol).

Rikku Paine
That leaked ps3 pic wasn't from FF13 ps2. It was from the Rkku side game they were going to make: FFX-3, essentially.

I would probably bang all the chicks in FF.spoiler (click to show/hide) and the dudes who look like chicks, too [close]AND MY COPY HAS ARRIVED!!!But I won't be able to play it today. Fuck.
the problem ain't with BioWare games having linear mapsthe problem is that completely linear FF13 comes from this:
This is just one map I googled. The point is the whole world in FF12 was open-ended. You could travel from one point on the west side to the other on the east side via different routes/ maps. AFAIK FF13 has none of that.
