I guess it depends on the game. Generally I play about 2-3 hours a night when I get a new game. I'd finish The Order in two days.
I'm playing Resident Evil Remaster right now, and I think I'm at about 9 hours, just having cleared the cabin. Probably another 4-5 hours left. I'm taking my time, solving the puzzles without a guide, and a length of 10-15 hours is just right.
5 hours is just so fucking short. That isn't even enough time for the systems to evolve, for new weapons to be introduced, or for really fuck awesome endgame levels.
Well, like I said before:
Is the game fun? Because if it is it can be a 12-hour campaign a la Uncharted and I'll be happy as hell. If it's 30-80 hours and still fun, I'm game. The
problem is that some people put value on the hours-to-complete without asking the "yeah, but is it fun?" But I can't really fault the "short games are better for me" crowd because those people may be working 35-40 hours a week come home and simply want to have a "movie-game" like experience a la the Order or Uncharted and are completely fine with that gameplay. Whereas, to get the same "experience" from something like Final Fantasy, you need to invest a week or so depending on your schedule and how busy you are.
Like, I got Persona Q back in... November? and I'm still on the third dungeon even on the
easiest difficulty because I've got a few other things (and playing FPS as that's my primary genre and not really a handheld person) going on to where it's taking me longer than say, someone like Demi who's primary genre is J/RPG's and willing to sink a lot of time into them in a "shorter amount of time"/longer play sessions.
