I've not been there for long (though I'm in and out of Tinder for short bursts) but it's very much possible they can measure something akin to "window shopping" (I'd imagine just tracking how people swipe and the volume of messages to matches would be a statistical indicator) and tailor it to hook you into paying.

I'm not really holding out for those, to be fair. The time it worked for me we immediately clicked via text and it built up on its own to a date. The lack of a response is already a bit of a non-starter in itself.

Well my 'ladyfriend" (sure that's what we will call her) decided to reach out to me again. I watched Minority Report, a movie I love. I bought some movies and and games with my income tax that I now did'nt have to spend on airplane ticket. I did'nt try and wallow in my sadness, I tried to do stuff I like and be social in other ways. So now that she is talking to me, it feels "nice", but eh....I still have to play with her friend I'd rather not. I still live in some vague zone where I don't know what the point of this relationship is. I'm still not having sex. It's like that week she "took of" kind of was perfectly fine and I am questioning if it was a bad thing she stopped talking to me.
