I think the MS things were better cause they showed what the difference the hardware can do, Sony showed some cool games but you come away feeling its just PS4 pro pro (except Horizon)

That console is gonna be big as a gaming tower for sure. The event was just meh, it did show a lot of diversity which if fine, couple games in interested in, but Horizon was and is a boring game, it looks fantastic but GG don’t know how to make games interesting. I do wonder how close to the E3 presentation this actually was, I hope we see a few more games soon for it that actually show off what it can do. Instead of, well you can probably already play this on PS4 but we’re making it PS5 only to make it look like we have a good launch lineup.

Interested to see what Xbox does with their first party next month, but really not holding my breath, also because you can play the Xbox games on one and pc mostly at launch to sell their console they’ve really got to give people a reason to do so.

Also for fuck sake, can someone just release a price already this is getting stupid.

Xbox is focusing on Gamepass as a strategy and service to sell Xbox and make money. I don't expect anything from their first party really beyond Gears, Halo, Forza and the odd 3rd party exclusive.

I think they will splash cash to get big games on Gamepass instead to push that service. Right now they have 10 million subs, that is massive.

Sony will easily have more exclusive first party games then MS. They are very much in the tentpole strategy game where exclusives sell consoles.

I think just like with Xbox Live back in the early 2000s MS has their shit together now and are really using the zeitgeist of Netflix, Spotify etc and it's working. I don't think they will win against PS5 though as Sony is a behemoth, but they will carve out a bigger piece this gen for sure.

I have to see what exclusives MS is going to provide, but based on this gen I could easily skip Xbox next gen.  MS First party was just nothing to me this gen. I disliked Halo and Gears, finding them both bland and tired. About the only exclusive I really enjoyed was Quantum Break. I'm willing to see if they can change that, but buying studios like Ninja Theory does nothing for me. I don't believe they've ever made a good game. Gamepass is whatever to me. I'm still a loser so I buy physical and as I've said before, I'm not going to wait for Devil May Cry 6 or Control 2 to come to it. Also, at this point everything should be cross play. No excuse for say the next Battlefield not to be. So thats even more of a reason for me to skip the Xbox.

I like my One X, for the sheer build quality and power it has. But most of the games I've played on it are third party games that were also fine on the PS4 Pro.

So of course I'm going to go with PS5. I actually like Horizon a lot. Spider-man was fine, a really polished and high budget version of what Acitivsion had done and really nothing more. But it is something I'd like to play. I have more faith in Sony first party. People accuse me of being a Sony fanboy and loving thier sad dad games. I like Playstation, but hardly any Sony first party game would I consider my favorite game. They are summer blockbuster of games. I want to see Summer blockbuster's for the production values and cool sights, but you know I think something like Upgrade is a far more entertaining movie then whatever Marvel has ever put out. And that's how I view most of Sony first party. Fun enough games that I want to experince. Sometimes you get stuff like Bloodborne and Horizon which I really like. I wish they made more stuff like Gravity Rush. But either way, I've enjoyed most of thier output. And this conference just kind of said they are going to continue that.

I still can't believe how ugly that design is, and it's also massive, wtf.

The presentation was fine, better than PS4's.
It had a couple of cool looking games, the graphics looked pretty good to great, depending on the title.
What i got from it, is that if you don't have a 4K OLED tv, you're not really getting much out of these next gen graphics.

The only game that got me really excited were RE8 and Hitman 3, but graphically speaking i was pretty pleased.

Also  @ Square Enix and yet another one of their vaporwares on Luminous, GTFO with that shit.
The graphics of the real time snippets, didn't even look much better than XV on PC.
And of course,  @ GTAV, not even showing what the improvements are.

Also, how well a console is cooled/heat dissipation matters above all else. The Xbox X has a huge fan and a lot of open air flow, it's hard to tell on the PS5 where the fans actually are.

It's not the make or break for me. But pretending how any product looks isn't important, is rather silly.  I'm sure my dad who for whatever reason fairly often buy Playstations, would also look at that and give it a hard big think, if it's as ugly and big as it seems. Ps5 and Ps3 slim was a lot easier to mix in between other media players than this Alienware monster
